A few months ago I discovered Toms Shoes. I’m partial to this Burlap Woven design. Something about wearing potato/rice sacks on my feet that gives me the giddy. Anyway, the whole idea behind Toms Shoes is that they donate one pair of shoes to a child in need in a developing country for every one pair of shoes you purchase. The idea is solid - in that its not a non-profit organization so that they can ensure they are able to perpetually provide shoes via profit versus sporadically through donations. Design with purpose - makes the heart gooey.
